iPhone install

Save to Halite, right from the share sheet.

A free Shortcut that adds "Save to Halite" to your iPhone's share sheet. Tap it from Instagram, TikTok, Safari, or anywhere else you find a recipe, and the link goes straight into your Halite library.

What it does

The Shortcut adds a "Save to Halite" action to the iOS share sheet. Tapping it grabs the link you're sharing and forwards it to Halite, the same way pasting a URL into the app would. You'll need to be signed in to app.halite.cc in Safari — the Shortcut hands off to your existing session, it doesn't ask for a password of its own.

Why a Shortcut, and not just an app feature

Safari doesn't let installed web apps add themselves to iOS's share sheet — Apple hasn't brought the Web Share Target API to Safari the way Android's browsers support it. A Shortcut is the one way around that on iPhone today, so that's what we built.

Install it

  1. Tap "Get the Shortcut" above. It opens in Safari.
  2. Download the file. Safari saves it to your Downloads.
  3. Open it from Files or the download banner. This hands it to the Shortcuts app.
  4. Tap "Add Shortcut." That's the whole install.
  5. Sign in to Halite in Safari, if you haven't already, at app.halite.cc.
  6. Open Instagram, TikTok, or any app with a recipe and tap Share.
  7. Scroll the row of icons and tap "More" (or "Edit Actions") if you don't see Save to Halite yet, then switch it on.
  8. Tap "Save to Halite." The first time, iOS asks whether the Shortcut may send the item to app.halite.cc; tap Always Allow so it never asks again. The link lands straight in your Halite library.
Tip: once you've turned Save to Halite on in step 7, iOS keeps it in your share sheet — you only need to dig through "More" that first time.
On Android, you don't need any of this. Install Halite as an app and "Save to Halite" already shows up in your share sheet — no Shortcut required.
