The prices are U.S. averages, and you can swap in your store’s.

Halite starts from average U.S. grocery prices published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the USDA, adjusted for inflation. When neither one covers a food, AI estimates a typical store price, and the label says so. Store brands often cost less, so treat the total as a ballpark.

  • Tap Fix on any price to enter what your store charges. Halite uses your price from then on.
  • Scan your receipt after you shop. Halite uses what you paid to bring its estimates closer to your store.
  • Shopping outside the U.S.? The built-in prices are for U.S. stores. Turn on food costs in Settings and Halite uses only the prices you enter.
